CALL FOR NOMINATIONS FOR SPRI SCIENCE & TECHNOLOGY AWARD

 

SPRI is soliciting nominations for the SPRI Science and Technology Award, to be presented during the 2010 SPRI Conference, to be held in New Orleans, Louisiana, USA, March 28-31, 2010.

 

The SPRI Science and Technology Award is offered for the purpose of promoting science and technology in sucrose processing to an outstanding scientist whose research and development accomplishments have been distinguished by their originality and by their contribution to the sugar processing and production industry.  The award consists of a $1,000 honorarium, a plaque, and reasonable travel expenses to the award presentation.  The recipient is invited to present a keynote lecture at the SPRI Conference

 

The nominee shall have at least 10 years of active research and development experience in sucrose science and technology, in a research and development environment of a university and/or research institute and/or a company engaged in the business of sucrose processing and production, and shall have at least one recent relevant sucrose related publication in an internationally recognized journal.
