SUGAR
PROCESSING RESEARCH INSTITUTE, INC., (SPRI)

SPRI is a unique organization in that it
conducts research on both beet and cane, pulling together information from
produces, suppliers and users of sugar.
We have the capacity to conduct the more difficult analytical tests on process
samples that can explain process problems and suggest solutions. In this day of
decreased in-house-research, we think that SPRI,
with our access to USDA scientists and equipment, is a very economical way for
sugar industries and their allied partners to conduct research.
A company may join SPRI,
Inc., by application to the Board of Directors, and subsequent acceptance, and
payment of dues subscription. Each member company has one representative on the
Board of Directors. The officers, Chairman, Vice-Chairman, Secretary and
Treasurer, are elected from the Board membership for a term of two years. The
Executive Committee consists of officers plus at least five Director members.
The Research Advisory and Review Committee members are appointed by the
Chairman for a two year term.
